Pro Bowl

The Pro Bowl where the best players from each team in each conference go to Hawaii to play against one another. This week players were voted to attend the Pro Bowl. Like every year, theirs players who are going to the Pro Bowl for the first time and some players who are going for their 10th time. Then theirs a couple of outcast players who deserved to make the Pro Bowl that didn't get voted to go. The Pro Bowl is February 8th, 2009 and it will be the first time in first two brothers are in the Pro Bowl which are Peyton Manning and Eli Manning.

What player do you think deserved to go to the Pro Bowl the most? Who do you think got cheated out?

History in UNC

Kyle Hansbrough can make history tonight at home against Eatonville. If Kyle Hansbrough scores nine points tonight he will pass Bill Ford as the All-Time leading scorer in the UNC history. Bill Ford is the all-time leading scorer in UNC history for the past 30 years. I believe Kyle Hansbrough will score nine points to become the leading scorer, because statitcs show he scores a over twenty points a game and nine points for Kyle is very easy.

Do you think Kyle Hansbrough will pass Bill Ford tomorrow against Eatonville?

Tebow and NFL Draft

Tim Tebow will be playing in the National Championship against the Oklahoma Sooners. Tebow has had amazing Carrier at Florida if it ended after the Championship, but I would be even better if stays another year. Tebow is still undecided if we wants to play for the Florida Gators in 2009 or go to the NFL. He has said the outcome of the Championship, will not decided if he stays or not. Tebow has requested a projection from the NFL advisory committee on where he could expect to be selected in April's NFL draft.

Do you think Tebow will stay another year at Florida? Why or Why not? If he doesn't stay and decides to go to the NFL how do you think he will fare in the NFL?

New York Baseball

December 10th, 2008, was a huge day in baseball, in New York. As two of the greatest pitchers were signed to mutli-million dollar year contracts. The New York Yankees signed Pitcher CC Sabathia, to a seven year deal for $161 million dollars! $161 million dollars! Then the New York Mets signed closing pitcher Francisco Rodriguez to a $37 million three year deal! That more than $16 million dollars a year! Both players are coming off great teams and amazing seasons last year.

Do you think it was smart to sign these players? Who do you think got a better deal? Which team do you think will do better next season?

National Championship

Did the BCS get it right this year. The BCS picked the Florida Gators and the Oklahoma Sooner’s to play against each other in the National Championship in Miami. The Florida Gators deserved their spot according the critics but did Oklahoma. Remember the three way tie for the Big 12 South and the BCS was going to decide the winner and who should play against Missouri for the Big 12 title. It could have been Texas, Texas Tech. These two teams could have won like Oklahoma did in the Big 12 title and contended for the National Championship game. If Oklahoma lost in the Big 12 title their would have been so much chaos, because Penn State, USC, Alabama, Utah, Texas Tech, Texas and other teams could play in title game against the Florida Gators.Do you think the BCS got it right? Who do you think would have taken Oklahoma's place in the National Championship if they would have lost to Missouri in the Big 12 Title?

AFC East

With the Playoffs coming up in a couple of weeks the AFC East looks like the toughest division in the NFL. With a three way tie between the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots, whoever loses in coming up weeks, maybe the end of their season. The three teams are all 8-5 looking at a playoff spot and the only way they will get in, is winning the division. The odd teams out are the Jets and Dolphins because they play against each other in the last week of the regular season in New York which would most likely be for the division title. Winner stay loser goes back home.

Who do you think will win the AFC East Title?

NFL Playoffs

The NFL Playoffs are right around the corner with only four weeks left in the regular season. A lot of suprising teams this including: a comeback by the Colts(started 3-4 now on a 5 game winning streak), Tennessee Titans (11-1) the Miami Dolphins (went 1-15 last year now only one game behind the New York Jets for the Division. The Atlanta Falcons(went 4-12 last season now have the sixth seed playoff spot). All of these teams are desperately fighting for a playoff spot.

Do you think the Dolphins, Colts and the Falcons will make the playoffs? If not who will make it out of the three? And who has the best chance?

NFL Distractions

This year there has been so many distraction in the NFL, with the suspensions of Adam Jones, Anthony Hangrove, Charles Grant, Will Smith and Deuce McAllister of New Orleans Bryan Pittman of Houston, and Kevin Williams and Pat Williams of Minnesota. Now Another distraction in the NFL Plaxico Burress the New York Giants Wide Reciver, got two counts of illegal weapons possession, Jerry Reese, the Giants’ general manager, said to Burress, he was finished for the season, suspended without pay and fined. Burress supposedly shot himself "accidentally" in the leg and Antonio Pierce Linebacker for the Giants was their and now is a witness. Also on top of it Burress doesn't have a gun license. Now Burress is facing a three-and-a-half-year prison sentence if he were convicted of illegal possession of a loaded weapon, but he could end up facing a lesser charge which penalty would be less severe.

Do you think Burress "accidently" shot himself in the leg? Do you think he will be in the NFL next year with the Giants or another team?

SEC Championship

Alabama was at the bottom of the pile in the beginning of the season, Alabama wasn't even expected to emerge from its season opener at the Georgia Dome with a win against Clemson. Three months later, the Alabama is the number one team in the country and still haven't lost. Now their coming to Atlanta to contend for the SEC Championship against the Florida Gators. Even though Alabama is the number one team in the country their still an underdog against the fourth ranked Florida Gators. The Florida Gators are coming into the SEC Championship game as one of the hottest and probably the best team in college football. The Gators are 11-1 (loss came to Ole Miss). The winner claiming not only the SEC conference, but a likely spot in the BCS title game.

BCS

Wow! This Big 12 Conference is crazy and good this year. The crazy part about it, is that there is a three way tie between Texas, Oklahoma and Texas Tech. How is this possible, Texas beat Oklahoma so they take the lead in the Big 12 South, but then Texas Tech says no your not the number one we beat Texas, then Oklahoma comes in and says no you beat Texas but we Texas Tech. Even though it might not make any sense it does. Since they are all tied, whoever has a higher ranking after Monday will play against Missouri for the Big 12 Title and chance at the National Championship. How is that far at all. The Winner of the Big 12 Title unless it's Missouri will play against the winner of the SEC Champions in the Fed Ex Orange Bowl Championship Game.

Who do you think will end up playing Missouri in the Big 12 Title? Do you think it's far for a ranking to decide who should compete for a Championship? And Why? What two teams do you think will end up in the National Championship Game?

New York Jets

The Jets are coming back to New York after a two game road trip, where they beat divsion rivals the New England Patriots (34-31) and beat the no longer undefeated Tenneesee Titans (34-13). The Jets are now 8-3 and the divison leader of the AFC East. The Jets are hosting the struggling Denver Broncos who came off a disappointing and disgusting loss the Oakland Raiders 31 to 10. This game is going to be a great battle between the two vertan quarter backs Jay Cutler and Brett Favre, two guys who can sling to the ball. Denver is still trying to find their running game into 12 weeks through the season. It wouldn't matter because the Jets have one of the best rush defenses in the league. The Jets high powered offense is going to be too much for Denver to handle.

NFL Rankings

With no more unbeaten teams in the NFL, after the Titans lost at home to the Jets 34-13. With a six game winning streak and won the last seven of eight games the Jets look like the best team in the AFC. Now the Giants, who definitely are the best in the NFC and one of the best in the NFL and look like they might end up in the Superbowl for two straight years. If both teams continue to do what they've been doing it might end up being the New York Jets vs. the New York Giants in the Superbowl.

How do you think are the top five NFL teams? What two teams do you think will end up in the Superbowl?

Relook at NFL Draft

Their have been many players since the draft who have stepped up taken the place of starting players, showed leadership and shown their credentials. Their were winners and losers in the draft and the stats show.

Who do you think was the best pick in the 2008 NFL Draft? Who was the biggest disappointment this year? Who do you think will go far in the NFL. And which team do you think got the players in the draft?

Jets V.S Titans

The New York Jets are coming into town against the Undefeated Tennessee Titans. The Titans are the only remaining undefeated team in the NFL and are hoping to go 16-0 and win the Superbowl, but not quite yet. The Jets are the number one team in their division after coming off a huge win against their division rival the New England Patriots. This is the harder task for the Titans so far this year. It's a battle between the top defenses in the league, Veteran Quarterbacks, and two top ten rushing running backs in the NFL (Thomas Jones and Chris Johnson). It will definitely be a battle between the defenses, but I believe the Titans are going be upsetted and the Jets will come up big with a win in the 4th quarter.
Who do you think will win the game, how and why?

Adam Jones

The NFL is giving Adam Jones the Dallas Cowboys cornerback another chance to prove he can stay out of trouble after being suspended and reinstated. This has been the second time Jones has been suspended by the league, the first time he was suspended the entire year because multiple incidents while with the Tennessee Titans, and was suspended this year because Jones got into an alcohol-related fight with one of the bodyguards during a private party in a Dallas hotel. Owner Jerry Jones said he must miss two more games, this Sunday and the following game on Thanksgiving and he'll be back December 7th at Pittsburgh. People say that Jones shouldn't be back into the league and others say he should get another chance which he already did, if I were Jerry Jones I would release faster than a blink of an eye. The last thing the Cowboys is another distraction, the Cowboys just came off a humongous win against the Redskins that might of have kept their season alive.

If you were Jerry Jones (owner of the Cowboys) what would you do with Adam Jones? Do you think that Adam Jones should be allowed back into the NFL?

Men's College Basketball

With the regular already started where a couple of top five teams have played, it looks like Duke is pretty good. But their are many other teams who look like they have a shot at going to the National Championship Game in Detroit, Michigan. A team you will have to look out for is the Florida Gators, the Gators have four returning starters (Marreese Speights left to the NBA). The Gators have six great freshman and five of the six were all ranked in the top 100 recurting list for college basketball.

What four teams do you think will make the Final Four and predict who you think will win the National Championship?

Thursday night

There is a huge game in the AFC East on Thursday night, which includes the New York Jets v.s the New England Patriots. Both teams came off two wins the Jets won 47 to 3 against the Rams and the Patriots won 20 to 10 against their divsion rival the Buffalo Bills. Also both teams are 6-3 and whoever wins will take the a one game lead as division leader in the AFC East. The last time the two teams battled each other was in week in week 2. Matt Cassel got his first ever start, replacing Pro Bowler Quarter Back Tom Brady. Cassel got his first win as the Patriots beat the Jets 19-10. I believe the Jets are going to win and take the lead for the division with the help of running back Thomas Jones and Brett Favre will need to make no mistakes by not throwing any intercetptions.

Who do you think will win the AFC East Showdown?

Ty Law

Before the big rivalry game between the New York Jets and the New England Patriots, the Jets signed the 5 time pro bowler cornerbacks, Ty Law to a one year deal. Ty Law is 34 years old and has 52 carrier interceptions and has played for the Patriots (1995-2004), the Chiefs (2006-2007) and the Jets (2005). People are saying that Ty Law was signed for a distraction to the Patriots other are saying he was signed to help out the younger cornerbacks with his vertanship. Now the negative part, critics are saying that Law is to old to play, but he didn't care this is what he had to say "I use guys like Brett and guys like Bernard Hopkins [for motivation]. I'm sitting there like, 'If these guys can go out there at 43 years old and knock out a 26-year-old guy, and Brett can still sling that thing at 45 or whatever he is -- 50 -- I know I can still go out there and cover somebody."

Why do you think the Jets signed Ty Law halfway through the season

Jets

The New York Jets are coming off an impresive win against their divisional rival the Buffalo Bills. The score was 26-17, Brett Favre threw for 201 yards and one interception. Trent Edwards threw for 289 yards one touchdown and two interceptions (one was returned back for a touchdown). The Jets protected Brett Favre by not allowing a sack but on the other hand Trent Edwards offensive line gave up five sacks. Thomas Jones came off a solid game with 12 rushes for 69 yards and one touchdown, while Marshawn Lynch ran for 16 yards. The Jets are on a two game winning streak and have four wins in their last five games. Now they are hosting the St. Louis Rams who came off a huge loss, losing to the Arizona Cardinals 34-13. The Rams might be without their Running Back Steven Jackson for the second time in the last three games. And the Jets might be without their Linebacker for the second straight game, David Harris.

NBA

Allen Iverson was traded to the Detriot Pistons for Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess. The Pistons have started out 4-0 and the Nuggets have started out 1-2. I believe the Nuggets got a better deal out of the trade because it going to give Carmelo Anthony more shots and more points. That will work with the help of Chauncey Billips. The reason why I say the Pistons are not getting the better end of the trade because Allen Iverson doesn't open up anything good for the Pistons, he might make a lot of points, he takes away shots from, Rasheed Wallace, Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince. Also remember Allen Iverson is in the final year of his contract.

What team do you think had the better end of the trade?

NFL Rookies

It's a little bit, half way through the 2008 NFL season. A lot of rookies have emerged this season like rookie running back Chris Johnson who is in the top five in the NFL for rushing yards (715), along with five rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown and has lead the team to an 8-0 start. Then you have rookie running Steve Slaton who leads the team with 538 rushing yards and has collected the most touchdowns on the team (besides for Quarter Back Matt Schaub, 10). Now Quarter Back Matt Ryan the Falcons first round pick, has turned around the team since last year. The Falcons have more wins then they had last year in just their first eight games this season, because of the help of the rookie Matt Ryan. Matt Ryan has 1661 passing yards and nine touchdown passes. If the Titans continue to win with the help of Running Back Chris Johnson, he will most likely win Rookie of the Year. If that doesn't happen it's going to be very interesting on who's going to win.

Who do you think will win the Rookie of the Year Award for the NFL?

College Football

The Florida Gators are playing against their SEC East Rivals the Georgia Bull Dogs for the annul meeting in Jacksonville, Florida. This is the 84th time the two teams have played against each other in the biggest cocktail event in the world. The Gators are coming in at 6-1 and ranked 8th in the nation (BCS polls). The Florida Gators are looking for revenge from last years loss to the Georgia (42-30) after the whole team stormed the field when they scored their first touchdown of the game. The Heisman Trophy winner last year Tim Tebow rushed 13 times for negative 15 yards and was sacked six times. He threw one touchdown and threw 236 yards and rushed for two touchdowns which wasn't enough. Matthew threw for 217 yards, three touchdowns and one pick. Knowshon Moreno rushed 33 times for 188 yards and three touchdwons. Last year the Gators didn't have an established running back but this is year is very different the Gators have two amazing running back Chris Rainey (322 rushing yards, 6.6 ypr and two rushing touchdowns) and Jeffery Demps (357 rushing yards. 11.9 ypr and four rushing touchdowns), who are only 5'8 and 5'9 and I believe these two will be the key to the Gators beating the Bulldogs. This is a must win for either team because it will most likely determine who will play in the SEC Championship game and who will have a better shot at the National Championship Game.

Who do you think will win the game on Saturday?

World Series

The World Series went to game 5 as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Tampa Bay Devil Rays 4 to 1 in the series. The MVP was the Phillies Picther Cole Hamels who pitched two games and won one and the other was no decision. Even thought the Devil Rays didn't win the World Series they accomplished a lot. This year was the first year in franchise history that the Devil Rays made it to the playoffs. Then it was the first time in 20 years the Philadelphia Phillies won the world series.
What do you think is next for both teams?

NBA

With three days already gone by since opening night in the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers look like to the team to beat in the Western Conference and in the entire NBA. With a healthy Andrew Bynum and raining stars Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol how could they lose. The Lakers are 2-0 and are averging 29 more points a game against their opponents.

Who do you think is the best team in the NBA ?

Kellen Winslow

Kellen Winslow was not allowed to play on Sunday aganist the Washington Redskins because of an undisclosed illness. The team was later adressed that Winslow had a staph infection and has had numberous staph infections since 2005. He didn't like the way the team handled the situation and said something pertaning to the situation about not adressing it to the rest of the team and was suspended for saying harsh words. Now Winslow is trying to appeal his suspension.

Do you think that the one game suspension might of been harsh.

NFL

With two straight loses to the St. Louis Rams and the Arizona Cardinals, injuries and suspensions, the Cowboys have dug themselves into a deep hole. Tony Romo injured his pinkie in his first throw, in Overtime against the Carnidals. Tony Romo played the rest of the series and had to punt which was blocked for a game winning touchdown where the punter also got hurt. Tony Romo is out for four weeks (broken pinkie) and the punter is out for the season with a broken leg. Another devasting loss was the Cowboys losing one of there best Cornerbacks Terence Newman to a Sports Hernia. Then the Cowboys other Cornerback Adam Jones was Suspended (League hasn't determine a date) for volating the Substanc Abuse Policy. Adam Jones is entering a Alcohol Treatment Center.

How do you think the Dallas Cowboys can fare with all their injuries.

College Football

Over the past decade College Football coach's have asked repedately for a playoff system instead of reling on Polls that can make a difference. A playoff system would make College Football a Fair Sport and would give certain teams a good shot to show themselves. Other people have said that the BCS polls should stay because its been around so long and a playoff system would take too long and wouldn't have enough time.

Do you think there should be a playoff system in College Football.
