National Championship

Did the BCS get it right this year. The BCS picked the Florida Gators and the Oklahoma Sooner’s to play against each other in the National Championship in Miami. The Florida Gators deserved their spot according the critics but did Oklahoma. Remember the three way tie for the Big 12 South and the BCS was going to decide the winner and who should play against Missouri for the Big 12 title. It could have been Texas, Texas Tech. These two teams could have won like Oklahoma did in the Big 12 title and contended for the National Championship game. If Oklahoma lost in the Big 12 title their would have been so much chaos, because Penn State, USC, Alabama, Utah, Texas Tech, Texas and other teams could play in title game against the Florida Gators.Do you think the BCS got it right? Who do you think would have taken Oklahoma's place in the National Championship if they would have lost to Missouri in the Big 12 Title?

AFC East

With the Playoffs coming up in a couple of weeks the AFC East looks like the toughest division in the NFL. With a three way tie between the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots, whoever loses in coming up weeks, maybe the end of their season. The three teams are all 8-5 looking at a playoff spot and the only way they will get in, is winning the division. The odd teams out are the Jets and Dolphins because they play against each other in the last week of the regular season in New York which would most likely be for the division title. Winner stay loser goes back home.

NFL Playoffs

The NFL Playoffs are right around the corner with only four weeks left in the regular season. A lot of suprising teams this including: a comeback by the Colts(started 3-4 now on a 5 game winning streak), Tennessee Titans (11-1) the Miami Dolphins (went 1-15 last year now only one game behind the New York Jets for the Division. The Atlanta Falcons(went 4-12 last season now have the sixth seed playoff spot). All of these teams are desperately fighting for a playoff spot.

Do you think the Dolphins, Colts and the Falcons will make the playoffs? If not who will make it out of the three? And who has the best chance?

NFL Distractions

This year there has been so many distraction in the NFL, with the suspensions of Adam Jones, Anthony Hangrove, Charles Grant, Will Smith and Deuce McAllister of New Orleans Bryan Pittman of Houston, and Kevin Williams and Pat Williams of Minnesota. Now Another distraction in the NFL Plaxico Burress the New York Giants Wide Reciver, got two counts of illegal weapons possession, Jerry Reese, the Giants’ general manager, said to Burress, he was finished for the season, suspended without pay and fined. Burress supposedly shot himself "accidentally" in the leg and Antonio Pierce Linebacker for the Giants was their and now is a witness. Also on top of it Burress doesn't have a gun license. Now Burress is facing a three-and-a-half-year prison sentence if he were convicted of illegal possession of a loaded weapon, but he could end up facing a lesser charge which penalty would be less severe.

Do you think Burress "accidently" shot himself in the leg? Do you think he will be in the NFL next year with the Giants or another team?

SEC Championship

Alabama was at the bottom of the pile in the beginning of the season, Alabama wasn't even expected to emerge from its season opener at the Georgia Dome with a win against Clemson. Three months later, the Alabama is the number one team in the country and still haven't lost. Now their coming to Atlanta to contend for the SEC Championship against the Florida Gators. Even though Alabama is the number one team in the country their still an underdog against the fourth ranked Florida Gators. The Florida Gators are coming into the SEC Championship game as one of the hottest and probably the best team in college football. The Gators are 11-1 (loss came to Ole Miss). The winner claiming not only the SEC conference, but a likely spot in the BCS title game.

BCS

Wow! This Big 12 Conference is crazy and good this year. The crazy part about it, is that there is a three way tie between Texas, Oklahoma and Texas Tech. How is this possible, Texas beat Oklahoma so they take the lead in the Big 12 South, but then Texas Tech says no your not the number one we beat Texas, then Oklahoma comes in and says no you beat Texas but we Texas Tech. Even though it might not make any sense it does. Since they are all tied, whoever has a higher ranking after Monday will play against Missouri for the Big 12 Title and chance at the National Championship. How is that far at all. The Winner of the Big 12 Title unless it's Missouri will play against the winner of the SEC Champions in the Fed Ex Orange Bowl Championship Game.

Who do you think will end up playing Missouri in the Big 12 Title? Do you think it's far for a ranking to decide who should compete for a Championship? And Why? What two teams do you think will end up in the National Championship Game?

New York Jets

The Jets are coming back to New York after a two game road trip, where they beat divsion rivals the New England Patriots (34-31) and beat the no longer undefeated Tenneesee Titans (34-13). The Jets are now 8-3 and the divison leader of the AFC East. The Jets are hosting the struggling Denver Broncos who came off a disappointing and disgusting loss the Oakland Raiders 31 to 10. This game is going to be a great battle between the two vertan quarter backs Jay Cutler and Brett Favre, two guys who can sling to the ball. Denver is still trying to find their running game into 12 weeks through the season. It wouldn't matter because the Jets have one of the best rush defenses in the league. The Jets high powered offense is going to be too much for Denver to handle.
