Thursday night

There is a huge game in the AFC East on Thursday night, which includes the New York Jets v.s the New England Patriots. Both teams came off two wins the Jets won 47 to 3 against the Rams and the Patriots won 20 to 10 against their divsion rival the Buffalo Bills. Also both teams are 6-3 and whoever wins will take the a one game lead as division leader in the AFC East. The last time the two teams battled each other was in week in week 2. Matt Cassel got his first ever start, replacing Pro Bowler Quarter Back Tom Brady. Cassel got his first win as the Patriots beat the Jets 19-10. I believe the Jets are going to win and take the lead for the division with the help of running back Thomas Jones and Brett Favre will need to make no mistakes by not throwing any intercetptions.

Who do you think will win the AFC East Showdown?

I think that the patriots are going to win because the Jets will bring on a huge pass rush (31 sacks this season) but that will play into the Patriots' hands as they will just dump it off on screen plays or slants. The Pats won't need to run, when Wes Welker (among league leaders in catches) will almost always be open in the slot. And remember, Belichick knows almost everything Mangini has.
